Double the fines for falsifying water meters

This outstanding content is mentioned in Decree 139/2017/ND-CP on sanctioning administrative violations in construction investment;…; management of technical infrastructure projects; Real estate business, housing development, house and office use management.

Accordingly, fines range from 1,000,000 VND – 2,000,000 VND for falsifying water meters (current fines range from 500,000 VND – 1,000,000 VND);

This fine also applies to the following acts:

• Use water before the water meter;
• Arbitrarily change the location, size, type of water meter;
• Remove seals and lead seals of water measuring equipment improperly according to regulations.

In addition, violators are also subject to remedial measures such as forcing them to return illegal profits obtained from the above acts.
