Hanoi Bar Association Holds Workshop to Contribute Opinions on the Draft Amended Law on Lawyers
On May 27, 2026, the Hanoi Bar Association organized a workshop to collect opinions on the Draft Dossier of the Amended Law on Lawyers, with the participation of numerous lawyers, legal experts, and representatives of legal practice organizations in Hanoi.
The workshop was chaired by Lawyer Huynh Phuong Nam – Chairman of the Hanoi Bar Association, aiming to gather practical feedback from legal practice activities in order to contribute to the improvement of the Draft Amended Law on Lawyers in the context of judicial reform and increasing international integration.
During the workshop, many participants emphasized that the amendment of the Law on Lawyers should closely reflect the current realities of legal practice while continuing to improve the legal framework governing the legal profession, enhancing the quality of legal services, and strengthening the role of lawyers in protecting justice, human rights, and citizens’ rights.
The discussions focused on several key issues, including: legal practice organizations; rights and obligations of lawyers; professional management and supervision mechanisms; legal ethics and professional conduct; lawyer apprenticeship and training; digital transformation in legal practice activities; and solutions to enhance the position of Vietnamese lawyers in the international integration process.
Through the workshop, the Hanoi Bar Association once again affirmed the important role of bar associations as socio-professional organizations participating in the development and improvement of legal policies and regulations, thereby contributing to the establishment of a professional, modern, and effective judicial system.
